School Boards are an important piece of the education system in Ontario. The Board administers the funding received from the Province for Moosonee Public School.
The Moosonee District School Area Board is responsible for:
- Hiring teachers and other staff to provide the educational programs that meet the needs of the school community, including needs for special education.
- Preparing an annual budget and allocating funds to support all board activities, including education programs for students, and the building and maintaining of the school.
- Supervising the operation of the school and its programs.
